Car enthusiasts, start your engines!

Downtown Sumner was shining bright this past weekend as the Classy Chassis Car Show returned to Sumner, WA. This time benefiting the Sumner High School Marching Band.

From polished classics to roaring hot rods, vintage beauties to modern muscle, and even remote control cars, the show brought together car enthusiasts and families alike for a day full of chrome, horsepower, and community spirit.

Two high school parking lots were stacked with nearly 150 incredible vehicles, each with its own story to tell. Guests strolled, admiring gleaming paint jobs, chatting with proud owners, and snapping photos of their dream rides. It wasn’t just about the cars, though—it was about the kids.

All registration fees, sponsorships, and awards benefited the Sumner High School Band program, including the marching, symphonic and concert bands, two jazz bands, and color guard.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, local food trucks including Sabrina’s Street Melts owned and operated by former Sumner Marching Band member Sabrina McNall, kept the crowd fueled with delicious bites and refreshing drinks.

Events like the Classy Chassis Car Show remind us why we love downtown Sumner. They bring people together, support local causes, and celebrate the spirit of our community.
