HQRL is a Genealogy Library & Bookstore that sprang from the roots of the private collection started by Leland and Steven Meitzler in Orting, WA in 1982. In 1996 the library became a nonprofit, independent, “managed by volunteers” research facility.

Heritage Quest Research Library is a nonprofit genealogy library in Sumner, Washington, managed and staffed entirely by volunteers. Heritage Quest Research Library’s collection includes books, and microfiche. HQRL also houses a bookstore where you can purchase genealogy books, forms, software and supplies.
